Weekend in Tomsk (2 days/1 night)

Presentation of the city

Located 270 km north-east of Novosibirsk, Tomsk was founded in 1604, originally as an Ostrog (wooden fortress). Nowadays Tomsk has about 500,000 inhabitants, mostly students. The city is famous for its beautiful wooden houses located in the old city.

A typical weekend program

  • Departure by bus from Novosibirsk on Saturday morning at 7 am
  • Arrival in Tomsk at 11.30 and transfer to the hotel

Located approximately 760 km east of Novosibirsk, the city of Krasnoyarsk was founded in 1628 as an Ostrog (wooden fortress). The city has nowadays about 900,000 inhabitants. It is crossed from west to east by the great Siberian River Yenisei. To the south of the city is the Stolby Nature Reserve, famous for its gigantic wild rocks.

The Altai is a mountainous region located at the junction of the Siberian taiga, the steppes of Kazakhstan and the desert of Mongolia. If you plan to go to Altai for a weekend, then the Lake Aya, surrounded by mountains, is the perfect destination.

Located halfway between Moscow and Vladivostok, Irkutsk is a beautiful Siberian city. Crossed by the River Angara, the city is home to many wooden houses. City of exile for many Decembrists, it was given the nickname "Siberian Paris". Irkutsk is located just a few kilometers from Lake Baikal, a freshwater sea right in the heart of Siberia.
