Russian communication courses in Russia
Since we opened our language centre in 2008, we have welcomed more than 150 participants of different levels, nationalities, and ages. With the experience we have gained during these three years, we have developed a unique course combining mini-group communication classes, tailor-made individual lessons with a varied programme of social and cultural activities. Coupled with the language and cultural immersion in the city of Novosibirsk and within host family, this course proves to be the most effective to make rapid progress in fluency and comprehension, while learning about Russian culture and life in Russia.

The objective of our mini-group communication classes (maximum of 5 participants per group) is to help you gain confidence in Russian so that you can express yourself as fluently as possible in the various real-life situations encountered in Russia. Very interactive, lessons are taught by dedicated and committed teachers and are based upon a wide variety of audio and video materials. Through discussions and debates in Russian, role-plays and simulation exercises, you will develop your Russian skills in a lively and effective manner, while acquiring the cultural knowledge required for effective communication in Russian. All our mini-group classes are taught in Russian.
Your individual lessons will be tailored to your personal interests and according to the weaknesses (grammar, lexical, etc.) we identify during your morning group classes. You can also choose to focus your lessons on a particular field. During your individual lessons, your teacher can help you in English. It is possible once you are in our centre to take more private lessons if you feel the need.
In addition to the weekly progress monitoring, you will receive at the end of your course a final summary report with recommendations for further learning.
If you are interested in taking the official Russian exam during your course, we offer a two-week preparation and testing module for the TRKI exam.
The objective of our social and cultural activities is that you continue to practice your Russian after your lessons with different interlocutors, while learning about Russian culture and life in Russia. Guided excursions in the city (museums, exhibitions, festivals, etc.), activities at our centre (movie evening, Russian cooking/craft workshop, presentation on a specific topic related to Russia or Russian culture, etc.) or in the city (sport activites, volunteering, etc.), you will have the choice between different activities all along your stay.
For your evenings, we will inform you about the cultural events happening in Novosibirsk (concerts, exhibitions, movies, theatre plays, ballet and opera, etc.). For your weekends, we will suggest you different trip ideas: visit to the city of Tomsk and its carved wooden houses, visit to a typical Siberian village, hike in Krasnoyarsk Stolby, weekend in Altai, etc. Up to you to participate in the activities we offer or to enjoy your free time on your own or with your host family.
Our communication courses start every Monday and can be booked from 2 to 8 weeks (after 8 weeks, assimilation becomes much slower and it is recommended to make a break of minimum one month before starting lessons again). As the communication language at our centre is Russian, participants need to have at least basic level A1 to join our courses. If you are complete/false beginner, we also offer full-immersion courses for beginners to reach quickly the A1 level.
